Bacoo 7 Year Old Rum

Introduction

The Bacoo Rum is produced in the Dominican Republic. The rum distilled from molasses bears the name of the Caribbean legend of Bacoo. A Bacoo is a spirit, which feels at home mainly in rum bottles and is therefore often called genie in the bottle. If you keep the little goblin happy and feed him milk and bananas, he will grant his “owner” one or the other wish. The legend says that if a Bacoo is locked up in a rum bottle, one should throw the bottle into the ocean. This is the only way to keep him away from you. The one who finds the closed bottle with the genie and frees him will get a wish fulfilled by the defiant goblin.
