Introduction

Light ruby red. Complex and multi-layered, with a predominance of red cherry notes and a hint of black tea leaves. Refreshing, with an excellent combination of structure and minerality and a long, fresh finish.

Amelia Pinot Noir has a great structure, balanced acidity and a touch of salinity that can only be found in Limari Valley wines.

I tasted two vintages of the top Pinot Noir from Limari. As with the Chardonnay, the 2019 Amelia Pinot Noir feels riper and more powerful than 2020. It has a little more alcohol and acidity, a bit more colour and concentration, and it’s a little more powerful within these vines’ elegant and fresh profile. The oak is neatly integrated and folded into the fruit, with very fine tannins and a dry and chalky finish.
