Introduction

Red cherry and raspberry flavors are sunny but crisp in this invigorating ros made from Pinot Noir grapes. While dry on the palate, it’s juicy and concentrated, edged by a hint of tannin and an invigorating mineral finish. Producer Information Family-owned S.A. Prm, founded in 1911 by Sebastian Alois Prm, has been in the hands of Raimund Prm, head winemaker and Sebastians grandson, since 1971. Under Raimunds leadership the property has earned a reputation as one of the most successful wineries in Germanys celebrated Mosel wine region. S.A. Prm is a founding member of the Association of German Premium Wineries (VDP), a consortium of Germanys top producers. Raimund Prm employs organic fertilization, hand-picking and strict yield control to ensure the utmost quality. The estate comprises 40 acres of vineyards planted principally with Riesling. Over 15 acres of S.A. Prms holdings are located within the famed Wehlener Sonnenuhr (sundial of Wehlen) domain. Named for the historic sundial painted on an outcrop of slate by a Prm ancestor back in 1842, the incredibly steep Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard is a renowned source of what is arguably Germanys finest Riesling. Here vines average 80 years and older and benefit from plentiful sunshine a critical factor in the worlds northernmost wine producing country. The soil is comprised of layers of finely decomposed, mineral-rich slate. Underneath, deep-lying aquifers provide the vines with adequate water during dry periods.
