Introduction

Amrut Intermediate Sherry Single Malt Whisky is a product of many years research to produce whiskies matching world standards. The whisky is made from selected Indian barley grown at the feet of the Himalayas, nurtured by the waters flowing there and cultivated by old and traditional agricultural practises. It is carefully mashed and distilled in small batches to preserve the natural aroma and matured in oak barrels in a unique tropical condition, at an altitude of 3,000 feet above sea level at Bangalore, the garden city of India. To retain the natural characteristics of this oak aged Indian Malt Whisky, they do not chill filter and it comes straight from the barrel in its natural colour.

New make spirit was matured in the traditional way in Virgin/ Ex Bourbon casks and is then transferred into Spanish Ex-Oloroso Sherry Butts wherein it matures for a year more gaining an added sherry finish. The finishing touch is thus lent by a further period of maturation in ex-bourbon casks. The results is an essay in elegance with subdued sherry notes that bears the tell-tale Amrut Signature of quality and innovationa worthy successor to the much acclaimed Amrut Fusion and Amrut Double Cask.
