Introduction

In 1987, Argyle was founded by pioneering vintner Rollin Soles, with a belief that the cool-climate of Oregon’s Willamette Valley was ideal for producing sparkling wines that could stand alongside the great wines of Champagne. To make exceptional sparkling wines, Rollin understood that first he had to grow exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, so he embraced a grower-first philosophy that was unique at the time in Oregon.

Argyle Willamette Valley Chardonnay combines the tension and purity of the Eola-Amity Hills with the graceful delicacy of the Dundee Hills. Opulent and fresh, textured and lifted, this blend of Estate fruit offers enticing orchard fruit ready to enjoy.

Fermented and aged mostly in used barrels, features youthful green apple and pear on the nose, with touches of quince, fresh bread and floral perfume. The light-bodied palate is fresh and easy to drink, with a gently rounded texture, concentrated orchard fruit and a long, nuanced finish.
