Introduction

Attems, a historic winery in Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, has been producing wines since 1106. The estate spans 110 acres of south-facing terraced slopes, benefiting from diverse soils and a favorable climate, ideal for cultivating Pinot Grigio.

Wine Description
The 2023 Attems Pinot Grigio Ramato Ros continues a traditional method of producing Pinot Grigio in the province of Venice. The term “ramato,” meaning “coppery,” describes the pink hue of the wine resulting from slight contact with the grape skins before pressing and fermenting. This ros boasts a rich, fruity bouquet and opens full on the palate with multi-faceted flavors. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 1517C for 15 days and aged on the noble lees for four months, enhancing its complexity and texture.

This Pinot Grigio Ramato pairs wonderfully with sweeter cured meats and prosciutto, as well as pasta with vegetable sauces or shellfish.
