Introduction

This sparkling red wine is made from Brachetto dAcqui in Piedmont, Italy. Since the times of Cleopatra, Rosa Regale has been love at rst sip. Legend has it that both Julius Caesar and Marc Antony presented Cleopatra with several wine skins lled with Rosa Regale, Cleopatras favorite. The empress then had her lovers drink the wine in order to unleash their passion, and the rest is history.

Fermented with brief skin contact for colouring, this sparkling wine derives its effervescence from the fermentation in stainless steel vats. The fresh attack gives way to sweetness, giving texture and a seductive character to the ensemble. Fruity and floral, this bubbly will complement a strawberry, beetroot and goat cheese salad or a strawberry pastry dessert.
