Introduction

From California’s coastal, cool-climate Edna Valley, where the long, cool growing season allows us to patiently wait and pick grapes at their optimum flavor. Each ferment is gently handled with a bespoke regime to carefully extract pure fruit flavors and silken tannins. We keep components separate at long as possible to truly understand what each individually selected parcel can bring to the blend. Drawing from 50 years of the Cakebread family’s winemaking experience, and selecting grapes that reflect the unique personalities of their regions, Bezel crafts quality, fruit-forward wines to elevate your everyday wine drinking occasion.

The 2021 vintage was one of the latest and highest quality harvests in memory for the Edna Valley. With only one small heat event in June, the key ripening period was mild, allowing us ample time to patiently wait for optimal flavors and phenolic ripeness.
