The palest of ross, this is an elegant, structured wine. Its dryness is balanced by the fine apple, red-currant fruits, and the strong sense of minerality. Fragrant and lightly structured, this fine bottling is ready to drink.

A lively ros Champagne with pleasing, citrusy juiciness to the flavours of steeped raspberry, white peach and blanched almond. A subtle thread of chalky minerality winds through the finish. Drink now through 2023.

Based on the 2016 harvest, this is floral and citrussy, showing a lithe, graceful balance. It’s a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier, with about 40% reserve wine, and red wine accounts for 7% of the blend. A tangerine-like acidity enlivens its delicate, subtly expansive flavours of raspberry and strawberry. While it feels ripe and full in taste on the palate, it never loses its sense of refinement and poise, finishing with exact length and depth.

Based on the 2016 vintage, the new NV Brut Ros from Billarcart-Salmon has turned out nicely, mingling notes of red berries and plums with notions of peach, dried flowers and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and elegant, it’s bright and charming, with a great core of fruit, racy acids and a pinpoint mousse. Giving and demonstrative, it’s already drinking well.
