Producer Information The vineyard is the origin of our wines. Bodegas Portia owns 160 hectares in the area of Roa, Gumiel de Izn, Villanueva and Gumiel del Mercado. At the heart of Ribera del Duero. The land is the essence, a land where our wines are born, wines with temperament and personality. They have an intense flavour profile and violet hues. In the mouth, they are unctuous and soft, the result of extreme weather with autumn and even spring frosts, and harsh, long winters. Our terroirs include the exceptional vineyard, Finca La Encina, in Gumiel del Mercado, in the Golden Triangle of the Ribera del Duero. It is situated on a hillside in a perfect north-south arrangement, at a height of over 850 meters and devoted exclusively to the Tempranillo variety. Sustainable agriculture practices in this vineyard ensure the utmost respect for nature, allowing the soil itself to feed the grapevine.
