Introduction

Via Cobos makes wines that are authentic expressions of the terroir from which they come. Paul Hobbs, the founding partner and winemaker at Via Cobos, has worked since 1988 in exploring the different terroirs of Mendoza, looking for the most distinguished regions in Lujn de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco to produce wines that uniquely express their origins.

Sustainable farming methods in the vineyard contribute to consistent yields of healthy fruit. In the winery, careful treatment of the grapes and meticulous winemaking techniques result in complex and elegant wines of subtlety and balance.

Deep red, the nose displays fresh red fruit and cassis, accompanied by tobacco, chocolate, and spices notes. Black pepper, clove, mocha, pencil shavings, and a hint of gunpowder add to the complex spectrum of aromas. It is an unctuous wine with firm tannins, and the dimensions of flavours continue to develop on the long finish.
