Introduction

Producer Information Costaripa is a family run winery located to the west of Lake Garda in the small town of Moniga del Garda in the Lombardy region of Italy. The winery has been around for three generations since 1936 and has been managed with dedication to the terroir and its fruit: a tribute to time, consistency and naturalness. The winery grows grape varieties such as Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Barbera. Gropello is a typical red grape variety cultivated in the region and is characterized by the pine-cone shaped grapes. Using the mix of Gropello and other varieties, the winery produces their signature Chiaretto, a classic Italian rose wine named RosaMara. The wine is made using the lacrima vinification or the tear drop method, where the free run is slowly dripped when the fermentation has just begun. They are very proud of this wine and everyone is recommended to try it. Other than the ros wine, the winery also produces other red and sparkling wines.
