Introduction

The company was formally incorporated in 1910, when brothers Paulo, Angelo, Joao, Jose, Cesar, Luis, and Antonio gave entrepreneurial imprint to the business of their father, immigrant Antonio Domenico Salton, who informally vinified, like most Italian immigrants. The brothers began to dedicate themselves to the cultivation of grapes and the elaboration of wines, sparkling wines and vermouth, with the denomination “Paulo Salton & Irmaos”, in the center of Bento Gonalves.
A century later, Salton is recognized as one of the leading Brazilian wineries, a leader in the marketing of national sparkling wines in Brazil. Today, at the head of the , members of the fourth generation of the family preserve the legacy of its founder, Paulo Salton, based on the values built over more than 100 years of history and inspired by the simplicity and hard work of the first generations.
