From the black cherry and dried herb aromatics to the sappy fruit flavors, Branding Iron Cabernet pulses with instantly approachable appeal. With deep fruit flavors that have a focused intensity yet feel round and broad on the palate, theres a compelling density we have come to expect from western Oakville Cabernet, along with coating tannins, warm toasted oak, and an extended finish.Producer InformationNickel & Nickel Winery is a Californian wine producer, established in 1997 by Gil Nickel of Far Niente. Situated on the John C. Sullenger property in Oakville, of Napa Valley, the winery focuses exclusively on varietal wines from single-vineyard designations. Each vintage, Nickel & Nickel make up to fifteen different Cabernet Sauvignons sourced from different vineyards in Oakville, Napa Valley, Rutherford, Diamond Mountain, Howell Mountain, Stags Leap District, St Helena, and Yountville. The intent is to let each site express its terroir, and to show the diversity of Napa Valley in the glass. While the estate John C. Sullenger Vineyard and Tench Vineyard are favorites, each vineyard produces a unique bottle of wine that are textbook examples of Napa Valley Cabernet. Nickel & Nickel also produces a collection of Chardonnays and Merlots, sourced from different ranches throughout the Carneros, Oakville, and the Russian River Valley in Sonoma. All the wines produced by Nickel & Nickel receive high accolades from the press, and continue to be a benchmark for quality Napa Valley production. The winery was opened to the public in 2003, with cutting-edge facilities located within an 1880’s farmstead. Nickel & Nickel are apart of the Far Niente family of wineries and vineyards.
