Introduction

Aphrodite was the Goddess of love, passion and procreation, was often accompanied by the winged Godling, Eros (or cupid). Aphrodite was the true love of Ares, and their love story is one of the greatest of all time.

Two Hands Proprietor Michael describes the 2018 Vintage: A wonderful stream of dark purple flows into the glass, this is a straight up a WOW. Notes of cassis, bright red berries, western red cedar, lavender, liquorice, crushed blackcurrants. Very deep black in colour right to the edge of the glass. The palate is huge in texture and has layer after layer of concentrated fruits. This is a full bodied and robust wine with a lovely core of energy. Currently this is wound up pretty tight but will unfurl over many years. In the end I am met with a lot of pleasure from this bottling and I like and respect is shyness as a young wine and feel that it has the persistence and clarity to make very old bones. This is a gob smacking ride that is best decanted and enjoyed with a hard cheese and good friends. The tannin chain is juicy and long and the fruit reverberates all around your mouth on a long a distinguished palate, YUM”.
