Pungent meaty and curranty aromas, and hints of cedar and spice. Produced purely from Tempranillo, and aged in new French and American oak barriques, this wine shows all the elegance of the variety, soft-bodied and smooth. Delicate and velvety, with plenty of complexity, and a strong core. The Valenciso Reserva is great with red meats, strong cheeses, game pie. Producer Information VALENCISO was born in 1998 when we, Luis Valentn and Carmen Enciso, joined our surnames to make a single wine in the winery of our dreams in La Rioja Alta, where we are from. With the know-how and international vision acquired after 15 years of shared work in the management of a prestigious winery in the Rioja Alavesa. To fulfil our dream we established the winery in Ollauri, a beautiful town with a winemaking tradition in the north of the Rioja Alta, where the influence of the Atlantic climate favours the fineness of the Tempranillo grape, the characteristic and exclusive variety of most VALENCISO wines. The wines are the result of the demanding organic cultivation of our vineyards. We have a great team: Ana, Ana, ngel, Antonio, Antonio, Diego, Endika, Ignacio and Jess. Some have been with us from the beginning, trusted in what was just a project and today are part of the history of VALENCISO, others have been born among the vineyards and take care of ours with the knowledge of generations, and others have a lot of international and national experience in the world of wine. They all share commitment, work and efficiency. Without them VALENCISO would not be possible. VALENCISO is part of Grandes Pagos de Espaa,an association that brings together some thirty of the best wineries in the country. We also belong to the Asociacin de Bodegas por la Calidad ABC Rioja, a professional association of 9 of the most prestigious wineries in La Rioja.
