Victoria Park Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Introduction

Deep purple core with medium cherry edges and lighter rim. An array of dark fruit, very clean and precise nose that is dominated by berries. There is a touch of light spice, green pepper and menthol. Very consistent to the nose, lots of dark berries. The spice is subtle, maybe mellowed by the introduction of a cocoa nib chocolate note. Medium to light-bodied for a Cabernet, with fresh acidity and slick tannins. The alcohol is well balanced and there is no ‘heat’ coming from the palate. The finish is clean and lingers just slightly. A crushable wine, with a bit more depth if you give it 15 minutes and a few good swirls. Enjoy with a hearty stew or simply enjoy on its own!
