Yalumba Y Series Shiraz – Viognier 2020

Introduction

Established in 1849, Yalumba is Australia’s oldest family-owned winery. The Hill-Smith family has showcased the best of the Barossa for six generations, letting the land lead the way.

Deep crimson red. An exotic mixture of aromas such as Turkish delight, blood plums, violet, blueberry and white pepper. Medium-bodied with flavours of dark cherry and spiced fruit cake. The tannins are fine, and the mouth coating and the finish are plush and round, showing the synergy of blending these two varieties. Goes well with beef skewers or Moroccan spiced grilled eggplant covered in sauted ripe tomatoes, chilli and fresh herbs.
